Driver warned for driving on highway with dog in truck bed

A driver was stopped and warned for driving on the highway with a dog in its truck bed.

Ottawa OPP stopped the driver travelling over 100km/h on Highway 417 when officers noticed the dog in the back.

The driver was stopped and warned. Police say travelling with a dog in the truck bed is never recommended, but especially not on the highway.

After the confrontation, the dog was safely put inside the vehicle.
