Two charged following Nepean shooting

Two people have been charged in connection with a shooting that occurred in Nepean on June 1.

Ottawa Police were called to Ashwick Court around 8:40 p.m. after receiving reports of an altercation.

Police say a man sustained non-life-threatening injuries after being shot by another man who exited a vehicle and engaged in a dispute. Police stated they believe the incident to be targeted.

Following an investigation by the Guns and Gangs Unit, two Ottawa residents were charged with several violent and firearms-related criminal code offences on June 11.

Both suspects are being held in custody as the investigation continues.
