Youth charged in west end stabbing

One youth has been charged in relation to a stabbing that occurred in the city’s west end on Feb. 10.
Around 5:15 p.m. Ottawa police responded to reports of a man who had been stabbed in the 1300 block of Woodroffe Avenue.
One victim was found and transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The suspect fled the scene prior to the officer’s arrival.
On Feb. 20 police announced they had made one arrest.
The youth has been charged with assault with a weapon, two counts with failing to comply with an order, assault causing bodily harm and possession of a weapon.
