Police investigate late night shooting in Nepean

Ottawa Police Service is investigating a shooting that took place in Nepean on Thursday night that sent one person to hospital.

On June 26 around 11:30 p.m., officers responded to the 100 block of Woodridge Cres. after receiving reports of a shooting.

Officers say they arrived on scene and located a victim suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The investigation is ongoing and police have not said whether or not they have identified a suspect.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Guns and Gangs Unit at 613-236-1222, extension 5050, or submit an anonymous tip to Crime Stoppers.
