There are some disruptions to flights in and out of the Ottawa Macdonald-Cartier International Airport on Thursday morning after a security incident.
NAV CANADA, the country’s air traffic control service, said in a post on X, police were on scene investigating bomb threats at six Canadian airports, including the nation’s capital.
“Early this morning, NAV CANADA was made aware of bomb threats affecting facilities in Ottawa, Montreal, Edmonton, Winnipeg, Calgary and Vancouver,” the aviation agency said.
As of 9:18 a.m., the agency said that after assessment by authorities service is “gradually resuming.”
It said some airports across the country will see residual delays on July 3.
