Man stabbed in the leg at Nepean dog park

Police are looking for a suspect in connection with a stabbing incident at an off-leash dog park in Nepean.
Officials said the situation happened on July 6 at Bruce Pit, a popular off-leash dog park near Highway 416 on the way to Bells Corners. Around 2:50 p.m. officers responded to a call after a man was stabbed while walking along the main path through the park.
The victim had stopped to smoke when he was approached by an unknown male, the press release reads. This man asked the victim to share the cannabis he was smoking, when the victim refused, he was stabbed in the leg, according to police.
He was sent to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The suspect police are looking for is described as an Indigenous male, between the age of 50 and 60, with long hair and a “scruffy” beard. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a Blink-182 sweatshirt and cargo shorts.
“He is believed to be experiencing homelessness,” police said.
