Police seeking suspect after anti-Semitic hate messages put on Osgoode driveways

Ottawa police are looking for a person after multiple driveways in Osgoode Village had hate messages put on them.

Officers said that it happened June 2 around 7:30 p.m. The suspect “distributed” hate messages to the driveways.

OPS told CityNews in a statement that the printed materials targeted the Jewish community and were “based on White Supremacist/National ideology”.

The suspect is described as a light-skinned male wearing a dark T-shirt, grey or beige pants, dark shoes, a dark cap and a dark bag worn in the front. At the time of the incident he was riding a black bicycle.

Anyone who witnessed the incidents, has relevant video surveillance footage, or any information that could help identify the suspect is asked to contact the Ottawa Police Service Hate Crime Unit at 613-236-1222.
