Third person charged in first degree murder case

A third person has been charged with first degree murder in Ottawa’s first homicide of the year.

Michael Journal Prest, 20, has been charged following a shooting that left one man dead.

Wilson Sabarros, 58, was found dead by police on Pondhollow Way in Nepean on the evening of Jan. 10.

Mia Tejada, 28, and Omar Assaad, 26, both from Ottawa, were jointly charged with first-degree murder shortly after the incident.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Ottawa Police Service Homicide Unit at 613-236-1222 ext. 5493. Anonymous tips can be submitted to Crime Stoppers.
