Man facing charges for allegedly threatening police

A 40-year-old man is facing charges after making alleged threats to police officers.

Lanark OPP began the investigation on Aug. 27 when it was reported that threats had been made to officers.

On Friday, officers, alongside the OPP Tactics and Rescue Unit, executed a search warrant at a residence in Drummond-North-Elmsley Township.

During the search, a 40-year-old man was arrested and charged with uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm, and failing to comply with a probation order.

The man was remanded into custody following a bail hearing and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on Sept. 2.
