Vanier roadway closed after woman struck by vehicle

Part of McArthur Avenue was closed after police responded to an incident between a pedestrian and a vehicle.
Details by the force are limited, however, at 10:18 a.m. on Thursday, police said on social media that the roadway was closed between Lafontaine and Lacasse avenues due to “a pedestrian being struck by a vehicle.”
Ottawa paramedics told CityNews in an email that they responded around 9:50 a.m. to the 300 block of McArthur Avenue for the incident involving a car.
They found an adult female with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. She was stabilized by emergency responders before being taken to hospital, where she remains in critical but stable condition.
