Impaired driver arrested in liquor store parking lot

One person has been arrested after registering almost three times the legal limit in a liquor store parking lot.

OPS says it responded to a call about a driver passed out in a vehicle parked in a liquor store parking lot in Ottawa’s east end around 5 p.m. on Dec. 18.

Responding officers located the vehicle and assessed the driver. A roadside screen device was administer when officers suspected impairement.

The samples given were nearly three times the legal limit, police say.

The driver was arrested for operation while impaired.
