Man stopped for stunt driving on Hwy. 417 in Ottawa

Members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) in Ottawa stopped a male driver for stunt driving last night.
He was caught driving at 168 km/h near Moodie Drive on Highway 417 around 1:00 a.m. Friday morning.
During the traffic stop, police also conducted a mandatory alcohol screen as they found the driver had been consuming alcohol. He was found to be within legal limits.
As a result of stunt driving, the driver faces a minimum $2,000 fine, six demerit points and a driving suspension for one year if convicted.
His license was suspended for 30-days and the vehicle was impounded for two weeks.
