Risk of thunderstorms Thursday ahead of expected heat wave next week

Another heat wave is expected to descend on the nation’s capital starting next week on Monday, with highs above 30 and feeling closer to 40.
Thunderstorms and scattered showers are possible Thursday night as highs reach 27 C — feeling closer to 32 — and are expected to continue into the morning.
It will clear up midday Friday to make way for a sunny and warm weekend.
Both Saturday and Sunday will have mainly clear skies with highs of 27 C and 28 C with less humidity as well.
A storm risk is back on Monday with a high of 30 C, which is also when the next round of humidity is expected to kick in. Tuesday could see a high of 30 C, feeling close to 40.
