Name of RedBlacks mascot will be unveiled Friday

OTTAWA – Will it be Big Joe Mufferaw? Redblack Jack?

The name for Ottawa’s newest mascot will be revealed on Friday afternoon.

The Lumberjack that represents the Ottawa RedBlacks was introduced to the public at an Ottawa 67s game on February 17.

He’s made several public public appearances since, giving people a chance to check him out and suggest a name.

The mascot’s name will be officially revealed at École élémentaire publique Kanata on Friday at 2 p.m.
