Nearly $1 million in marijuana seized in west end grow-op

OTTAWA – Two men are facing charges after police busted a marijuana grow op at two houses on Speers Crescent and Richmond Road in the city’s west end.
Ottawa police executed two warrants and seized 957 marijuana plants valued at nearly $1 million.
Two BMW’s and a minivan were also seized from the two residences.
Thien An Huyn, 46, is charged with production and possession for the purpose of trafficking and theft of electricity over $5,000.
Thuy Dieu Nguyen, 35, is charged with possession of proceeds of crime over $5,000.
Both were released on a promise to appear.
