Gatineau man faces drug charges after being pulled over

GATINEAU — A Gatineau man now faces several charges after police pulled him over for erratic driving and discovered weed plants, pills, ammunition, and a street sign.
MRC des Collines Police said they pulled over the 33 year-old at around 2 a.m. Tuesday along Highway 309 in L’Ange-Gardien.
Police initially noticed his erratic driving, but then spotted more than 20 cannabis plants in the back of his pick up truck.
They also found bullets, pills and a street sign from L’Ange Gardien municipality.
He was released on a promise to re-appear.
The man is scheduled for a court appearance in September on drug-related charges, possession of stolen goods, and negligent storage of ammunition.
Police also issued the man a $268.00 fine for having improper tires on his truck.
