Fire destroys flea market near Smiths Falls

SMITHS FALLS, Ont. – A weekend fire has destroyed a popular flea market nears Smiths Falls.

Just after 5 a.m. Sunday, fire crews and provincial police were called to the Rideau Valley Marketplace on Highway 43, just west of Smiths Falls.

Highway 43 was closed for a time at the site of the fire, but has since reopened.

The Ontario Fire Marshall is looking into the cause of the blaze.
