Police investigate west end robbery incident that sent man to hospital

A man is in hospital recovering from minor injuries following a personal robbery incident that the Ottawa Police Service (OPS) is now investigating.

According to police, at about 4:10 p.m. on Thursday, June 9, officers responded to calls for service in regards to a personal robbery on Carling Avenue between Grenon Avenue and Judge Street near Britannia Heights.

The Robbery unit is now investigating and would like to speak with anyone who may have information about the incident.

No further details are available at this time, police said in a statement.

OPS is, however, reassuring the public that there are no further safety concerns related to this incident.
