Early schedule set for OHL Eastern Conference Final as 67’s await opponent

By Mike Vlasveld

The Ottawa 67's are gearing up to play either the Oshawa Generals or Niagara IceDogs this Thursday.

Game 1 of the OHL Eastern Conference Final will be played at The Arena at TD Place at 7 p.m., April 18.

Game 2 is set for Saturday, April 20, at 2 p.m.

Despite being the lower seeded team, the Generals have the chance to close out their best-of-seven series on home ice Monday night against Niagara. The IceDogs won the first two games of the series, but have dropped the last three. Game 7 would be played Tuesday night in Niagara, if necessary.

The 67's have seen plenty of their division rivals in Oshawa this season, as the two played each other eight times. Ottawa took the season series, winning five of their meetings, and the three that they lost were all by a single goal.

Ottawa met Niagara four times through the 2018-19 season, winning three times by a combined score of 13-4. The single loss to the IceDogs was a 6-5 barn burner.
