The largest equestrian event in Ontario is taking place in Ottawa this year.
The 2021 Trillium Championships will be taking place at Wesley Clover Parks from Wednesday, September 1 to Sunday, September 5.
In a release, the Trillium Hunter Jumper Association (THJA) says the location boasts a stunningly picturesque setting and a world class equestrian competition venue.
“Ottawa offers a unique destination experience like no other horse show in Ontario,” the release says. “Situated just fifteen minutes from Parliament Hill, the access to world class accommodations, restaurants, amenities and tourist experiences is unrivalled.”
“Being involved with the THJA from its very early days as a rider, trainer, official, show organizer and now having a daughter that competes on the circuit, I am incredibly excited to be involved in bringing the Trillium Championships to Ottawa,” said Tracy Howard, sales and events manager for Wesley Clover Parks. “Having grown into one of Canada's largest equestrian events, I believe the Championships will benefit from expanding into new locations, and our team looks forward to sharing all that Wesley Clover Parks and the City of Ottawa have to offer.”
Last year, THJA was forced to cancel the its legacy event due to the pandemic, and this year, there will be COVID-19 safety measures in place.
