Immersive ‘Imagine Monet’ exhibition on for final weekend at the EY Centre

Ottawans have one last weekend to be immersed in the works of French impressionist Claude Monet.

The 'Imagine Monet' exhibition features more than 200 paintings of Monet including his series of “Cathedrals” and “Water Lilies,” according to the exhibition's website.

The exhibition came to the Capital in June 2022, and other cities like Quebec and Edmonton.

Offering digital wall-to-wall imagery of Monet's work, the website said the exhibition is also enhanced by music, giving viewers a “new dimension” to his work.

“The visitor is totally immersed into a unique audio-visual experience where all the senses are fully awakened,” the website stated. “The warping and mapping techniques and state-of-the-art technologies give a new glance on Monet’s work while respecting the original work of the artist.”

This will be the third immersive project come to life by Annabelle Mauger and Julien Baron in collaboration with art historian Androula Michael after they launched the 'Immersive Van Gogh' art exhibit and 'Imagine Picasso' in 2021.

The 'Imagine Monet' exhibition runs until Sunday, Sept. 4 at the EY Centre.
