Semi-conscious person rescued from Carling high-rise fire

Ottawa firefighters rescued an individual from an 11th floor apartment fire on Carling Avenue, carrying the semi-conscious individual down to the second floor.
Around 9:30 Friday night, Jan. 6, Ottawa Fire Services (OFS) responded to call for a fire in a high-rise building. Firefighters discovered pots burning on the stove in the smoke-filled apartment.
Firefighters discovered the semi-conscious individual in the bedroom, carried them down the stairs, checked vitals and administered oxygen before transferring care to paramedics.
