OPP search for 2 suspects in armed home invasion

Frontenac OPP is investigating an armed home invasion that occurred in Sharbot Lake, approximately 60 km west of Smith Falls.

Police say it happened July 11, shortly after 1 a.m. Officers responded to a home on Gordon Crescent after it was reported that two people entered the home armed with a knife.

The suspects, a man and a woman, allegedly stole multiple items including a Sony PlayStation, musical instruments and cash. No injuries were reported.

Police say the suspects fled the scene in a silver or grey four-door car. The suspects fled before police arrived.

Police say they believe the incident was targeted and there is no threat to public safety. They are now asking for the public’s help in identifying the two suspects.

The male is described as approximately 5’9″, with a thin build and short brown hair. Police say he was unshaven with a short beard. The female is described as approximately 5’4″ and thin, with dark-brown or red hair.
