Supermoon to light sky

If there’s a clear sky tonight, you’ll be treated to a good view of a so called “super full moon.”
The term was coined by scientists, who say the moon will be closer to Earth than at any time since 1993 — a mere 355-thousand kilometres.
The moon will rise in the East tonight and appear 14 per cent bigger and 30 per cent brighter than usual.
Scientists also say a super full moon tends to make high tides slightly higher, and low tides a little lower.
They say the difference will be only two or three centimetres, although local geography could boost that to 15-centimetres.
