Harper welcomes May, challenges Ignatieff

As Green Party leader Elizabeth May gears up for her fight to get to the table for the televised debates, it seems all the other party leaders support her cause.
“Canadians don’t know what this (broadcast) consortium is up to when it makes its decisions and we think it’d be good if she were there,” said NDP leader Jack Layton.
As the leaders voiced their support for May, Conservative leader Stephen Harper opened up the possibility of a different kind of debate. He wants to go one-on-one with Liberal leader Michael Ignatieff.
“Since after all, the real choice in this election is a choice between a Conservative government or an Ignatieff-led government that all these other parties will support,” said Harper.
Ignatieff said he would welcome that.
“Any time. Any place.”
