Gregson trial delayed

The trial of a former mountie accused of killing an Ottawa police constable has been delayed.
Kevin Gregson’s first-degree murder trial was supposed to start November 7 with jury selection.
The citizen reports an Ontario superior court justice abandoned that date today and has not said when the trial may resume.
The 44-year-old Gregson’s lawyer quit the case last Monday leaving her client without legal representation.
A publication ban prevents us from knowing why.
Gregson will be back in court next Tuesday and the matter of a lawyer will be discussed then.
He is accused of stabbing Constable Eric Czapnick to death as he sat outside the Ottawa Hospital’s Civic Campus on December 29, 2009.
