Ottawa Public Health (OPH) is reporting another major COVID-19 vaccination milestone in the city, as 90 per cent of all residents over the age of 12 have had at least one shot against the virus.

As of Monday, October 18, 89 per cent of the 18-plus crowd has had a single-dose of a COVID-19 vaccine. Ottawa's double-vaccination rate is at 85 per cent.

CityNews' breakdown of OPH's daily COVID-19 figures for Monday, October 18, can be found here.

Ontario is reporting 373 new cases of COVID-19 and two more deaths on Monday. Health Minister Christine Elliott says 265 of those cases are in people who aren't fully vaccinated, or their vaccination status isn't known.

Ontario's seven-day average of daily new cases is down to 416.

There are 168 people reported to be in intensive care units due to COVID-19, but not all hospitals report that data on weekends.
