35-year-old man charged after police seize cocaine, firearms at a residence

The Lennox and Addington County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a 35-year-old Timoty Reid after multiple drugs and firearms were seized. 

The Street Crime Unit executed a search warrant at an address in Loyalist Township, roughly 20 minutes from Kingston. 

OPP said in a tweet the items seized were over 600 grams of suspected methamphetamine, and over 50 grams of suspected cocaine, along with five firearms, ammunition, brass knuckles and paraphernalia.

Reid was charged with:

  • Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine
  • Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – methamphetamine
  • Unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm
  • Knowledge of unauthorized possession of firearm – five counts
  • Careless storage of firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition – five counts
  • Possession of a prohibited device or ammunition
  • Possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose
  • Breach of recognizance

The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
