Canada's virtual holiday celebration starts Thursday

The online event will showcase artists like Martha Wainwright, and skaters Kirsten Moore-Towers and Michael Marinaro.

Heritage Canada is ready to launch IllumiNATION! -- a virtual show that it says, "takes you on a magical cross-country journey."

The event starts online, Thursday, December 17, and will feature the first winner of Canada's Drag Race, Priyanka performing on Parliament Hill.

IllumiNATION! will highlight artists and performers from all across Canada including Ottawa, Montréal, Toronto, Halifax, Moncton, Calgary, Vancouver, Yellowknife, and Old Crow, Yukon.

Residents can watch IllumiNATION! at home through the Canadian Heritage Website or their YouTube and Facebook Page

The virtual show will premiere at 8 p.m. (ET) and will run until January 7, 2021.
