Collision in Centretown injures police officer, pedestrian

A serious crash in the Centretown area over the noon hour on Dec. 2 left a pedestrian and a police officer injured.
The Ottawa Police Service (OPS), in a statement to CityNews Ottawa, said one of the two vehicles involved in the collision, which took place on Metcalfe Street and Catherine Street, was a police car.
The Ottawa Paramedics Services told CityNews Ottawa that a pedestrian was struck and that man was sent to hospital in stable condition.
The OPS said the officer's injuries are also non-life-threatening.
Metcalfe Street and Catherine Street have both fully reopened.
Officers are in the area of Metcalfe / Catherine due to a serious collision.
Road closures are in effect.
