Ottawa Fire Services responded to two fires Wednesday afternoon.
The first call came in around 3:45 p.m., from the homeowner of 1310 Birchmount Drive reporting smoke and flames coming from a computer.
Upon arrival, firefighters confirmed smoke was visible from the second story of the home.
The fire was under control just before 4:00 p.m.
The homeowner suffered minor injuries and was treated by paramedics on the scene.
Shortly after, fire services were called to another blaze at 1366 Bloomsbury Crescent, near Baseline and Highgate Roads.
A passerby called 911 and indicated the wood deck on a home appeared to be on fire.
The blaze was quickly put out.
There were no injuries.
