Eighteen families displaced by Orléans explosion return home

Some good news for some of the families displaced by Monday's explosion in Orléans.
Orléans South-Navan Coun. Catherine Kitts said in a post on Twitter that 18 of the 27 affected families have been able to return to their homes.
The blast levelled four homes in a construction site near Tenth Line Road and Shallow Pond Place on Monday, Feb. 13, and seriously damaged several others.
Kitts credits the 'amazing work' of Ottawa Fire Services (OFS), Hydro One, the Ottawa Police Service (OPS), Enbridge, the City of Ottawa and Minto Group to ensure a safe return for residents.
She adds, while it's welcome relief for some, others continue to be impacted.
The city and its emergency partners will be back at the Ray Friel Recreation Complex at 1585 Tenth Line on Thursday, Feb. 16 to offer the latest information and assistance to those who are still displaced.
