Gas prices going up on Dec. 1

After seeing gas prices drop to the lowest mark since January of this year, Ottawa drivers are set to see an increase at the pumps. 

Roger McKnight, chief petroleum analyst at En-Pro, tweeted on Nov. 30 that the price at the pumps will go up four cents on Thursday, Dec. 1 to $1.469 cents a litre at most Ottawa gas stations.

Last Friday, Nov. 25, the price for gas was $1.529/litre before dropping six cents over the weekend to $1.469/litre. With the latest drop on Wednesday, Nov. 30, gas prices will have fallen by 11 cents in a week.

Back in June, the price at the pumps in Ottawa hit a record $2.159 a litre. The price then fell to $1.439 a litre in September — the lowest since January.
