Hop to it: Ontario SPCA seeking new homes for 25 rabbits this Valentine’s Day

By Alex Black

Are you looking for some-bunny to love this Valentine's Day?

The Ontario (Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) SPCA is currently caring for 25 rabbits in need of loving forever homes.

In a love day release, the humane society said rabbits are sometimes slower to get adopted compared to dogs and cats, despite making great companions.

“If you're looking for a hunny-bunny, rabbits are adorable and bond closely with their adopters. They can be easily trained and have unique personalities,” said Dr. Stephanie Black, the Ontario SPCA's chief veterinary officer. “We're hoping you'll find it in your heart to help these bunnies in need by giving them a loving forever home.”

Potential adopters are reminded that, just like any companion animals, rabbits are a lifetime commitment and that it's important to do your homework before committing to welcoming any animal into your life.

If you're not in a position to adopt, but want to make a difference, you could also consider making a donation.
