OC Transpo holding public consultation on LRT Stage 2 station names

OC Transpo is holding a public consultation on the names of the stations for LRT Stage 2.
Residents will be able to weigh in on twenty-four station names until August 26th. The consultation is held online but residents can also call or write in their opinions.
According to the transit agency, the criteria for the names include that they can be easily understood in French and English, must provide meaningful geographic and navigational information, easy to write and say and that the names are distinct from each other.
OC Transpo wants established station names that are familiar to riders.
The transit agency is considering multiple factors including possible name conflicts for development beyond Stage 2.
