Open air fire ban lifted in Ottawa
Posted May 6, 2020 12:24:00 PM.
The Ottawa Fire Service has lifted the city's burn ban.
On April 1, the ban was put into place to prevent unnecessary grass fires, which would allow firefighters and other emergency personnel to focus on the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as limiting possible exposure.
Effective today, May 6, the Burn Ban has been lifted. Although the ban has been lifted, use extra precaution given the pandemic and limiting firefighters exposure during this time. Visit our website to learn more about Outdoor Fire Safety. https://t.co/HYkNeqRLwe #ottnews
