Some of the vape and tobacco products are illegal due to to high nicotine content and flavouring.
Some of the products seized had nearly triple the amount of the allowed concentration of nicotine.
A total of 12 establishments have been charged under the Smoke Free Ontario Act.
The Smoke Free Ontario Act only permits the sale of flavoured vape products other than mint, menthol and tobacco in specialty vape shops. In any case, federal law dictates the nicotine content may not be higher than 20 mg/mL. https://t.co/fXDslzmV5t #OttCity (4/4) pic.twitter.com/O3TZMIAJAp
