An early-morning fire in a Carlington area row house complex has left two units uninhabitable, displacing seven people.
Firefighters were called to the complex on Medford Street, near Caldwell Avenue and Merivale Road, at 6:42 a.m., Tuesday.
The fire began on the second floor of one unit, and spread to a second row house.
Ottawa Fire tells 1310 NEWS that two adults and five children from the two units have been forced out of their homes. It's unclear when they'll be able to return.
One resident was being examined for smoke inhalation and one firefighter received a minor injury when struck by a piece of falling debris inside one of the row houses.
