UPDATE: Three people injured in ByWard Market shooting

Three people have been injured in an early morning shooting in the ByWard Market.

The Ottawa Police Service (OPS) says the shooting occurred in the 1-100 block of York Street, near the BareFax Gentleman's Club and the Dominion Tavern, at 2:20 a.m. on Friday. Aug. 26.

The OPS received information that two other men may have also been injured during this incident. One of these men was in a hospital outside of Ottawa for treatment. All five victims are in stable condition.

Investigators are working to determine if these injuries are connected.

At this time, there are no suspects in custody.
