Two additional monkeypox cases confirmed in Ottawa

Public Health Ontario (PHO) is confirming 41 cases of monkeypox in Ottawa as of Thursday, Sept. 22.
The Eastern Ontario Health Unit is reporting no cases of monkeypox, while there is one monkeypox case confirmed in the Renfrew County and District Health Unit. The Leeds, Grenville and Lanark District Health Unit is reporting two cases of the monkeypox virus.
There are 667 confirmed cases of monkeypox across the province of Ontario, with 491 of those cases in Toronto. Of the 667 cases across the province, five are female.
