Two Pembroke residents charged with several drug related offences after officers execute search warrant

The Upper Ottawa Valley (UOV) Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) executed a Controlled Drug and Substances Act (CDSA) warrant at a residence in Pembroke.

On Sept. 1, OPP officers from the Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) with assistance from the Emergency Response Team (ERT) executed a warrant in the city of Pembroke.

Police seized a quantity of cocaine, crystal methamphetamine, cash and weapons. 

Brent Derion, 41, of Pembroke, and Brittany Tierney, 28, also from Pembroke, were both charged with several offences including:

  • Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine
  • Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – other drugs
  • Unauthorized possession of a weapon
  • Failure to comply with a release order

Derion is further charged with eight counts of possession of firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order as well as an additional count of failure to comply with release order.

Both were held for bail and later released with a first appearance court date of Oct. 4.
