Whitewater Region man facing numerous charges after police receive call regarding suspicious person

A 34-year-old man from Whitewater Region is facing a number of charges after Renfrew County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to a suspicious person call in the Horton Township over the weekend.

OPP officers received the call on Jan. 15, at roughly 3 a.m.

A suspicious person was on someone's doorstep and believed to be intoxicated. The man was located a short time later with minor injuries after a collision.

The man has been charged with:

Operation while impaired- alcohol and drugs
Failure or refusal to comply with demand

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on March 1, 2023.
