Winter parking regulations in effect

By Anil Jhalli

Starting Tuesday, Nov. 15, winter parking regulations in the capital are in effect until April 1 of next year.

A winter weather parking ban can be called if the forecast shows at least seven centimetres of snow.

With the exception of significant weather events, the City of Ottawa's roads and parking services team will aim to make the call by 9 a.m. for an overnight ban and 3:30 p.m. for a daytime parking ban.

When an overnight ban is announced, it will be in place from 7 p.m. until 7 a.m.

A daytime parking ban would be in place from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m.
