Charges laid after search of Hawkesbury home

A 60-year-old man was charged with several offences after Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers executed a search warrant on May 4 in a residence on Hamilton Street in Hawkesbury.
OPP officers seized a quantity of suspected cocaine, drug trafficking paraphernalia, ammunition and cash.
Sylvain Campeau, 60, from Hawkesbury, has been charged with the following offences:
- Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine
- Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – methamphetamine
- Possession of firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order
- Possession property obtained by crime under $5,000
The accused will be held in custody and is scheduled to appear in court on May 12, 2022.
