Ottawa Police and other partners arrest two people in connection to child pornography investigation

By CityNews Ottawa

The Ottawa Police Service (OPS) along with several law enforcement partners have arrested two people in relation to a child pornography investigation.

In July of this year, an investigation started in New Hampshire where reports were filed for incidents of possession, manufacturing, distribution of child pornography and child luring.

The investigation led authorities to believe a 15-year-old from New Hampshire and an adult male from Ontario were planning to meet for a sexual purpose. The OPS Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit took over the investigation last month.

On Oct. 6, the OPS ICE Unit and partners arrested Doric Latreille, 23, and Jennifer Lalonde, 22, in Cornwall after a search warranted was used for a residence where the accused individuals were staying and additional evidence was seized.

Latreille has been charged with multiple luring and child pornography offences. Lalonde has been charged with possession of child pornography. Both are scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 7 and the investigation is ongoing.
