Ottawa resident facing impaired driving charges

Members of the Upper Ottawa Valley (UOV) Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have arrested and charged an Ottawa resident with several offences after a traffic stop in the west end of Pembroke. 

On June 28, 2022, at approximately 12:50 a.m., police conducted a traffic stop of a vehicle on Pembroke Street West. 

Claudia Patricia Mayorga, 39, is charged with the following offences:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration 80mg plus
  • Failure to comply with undertaking
  • Driving while under suspension
  • Driving motor vehicle with unsealed container of liquor

The accused had their driver's licence suspended for 90 days and their vehicle was towed and impounded for seven days. The accused was released to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on July 26, 2022.
