Police conduct traffic blitz in Metcalfe Village

Ottawa police officers conducted a traffic blitz in the village of Metcalfe on Thursday, Feb. 16.

During the blitz, officers issued nearly 30 tickets in just over two hours.

The Ottawa Police Service said drivers in commercial vehicles, trucks pulling trailers, and passenger vehicles were stopped going more than 80 km/h in a 50 km/h zone.

Speeds in some cases were more than 80 km/h in a 50 km/h zone. Commercial vehicles, trucks pulling trailers along, and passenger vehicles were stopped and issued speeding tickets.
