Police looking for witnesses after man found unresponsive in Vanier

Ottawa police are asking for the public’s help in a case they’re investigating where officers found an unresponsive man in the city’s east end.

Police say they were called to the area of Carillon Street between Hannah Street and Baribeau Street in Vanier at about 5 a.m. on Tuesday, May 4.

When they arrived, a man was found unresponsive with extensive injuries and was subsequently hospitalized.

Investigators are looking for any available surveillance video and/or information that nearby residents may have and any potential witnesses that were in the area at the time.
