Police still seeking suspect wanted for uttering threats

By CityNews Ottawa

The Ottawa Police Service (OPS) is still seeking a man who uttered threats to another individual earlier this month.

At roughly 9:30 a.m. on June 8 on the 6500 block of Renaud Road, a man received death threats from an acquaintance and evidence led OPS officers to believe the threats were serious in nature and required the public to be notified.

Cederick Richard-Soares, 28, from Gatineau, is described as a Caucasian man, 5'6″, athletic build and sleeve tattoos on both arms and a neck tattoo and was last seen in the Gatineau area over the weekend.

Investigators would like to advise the public that the registered owner of the Chrysler 200 vehicle has reached out to police and that the vehicle is no longer of interest in this matter.

He is considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information is asked to contact the OPS east criminal investigations unit at 613-236-1222, extension 3566. Anonymous tips can be submitted by calling Crime Stoppers toll-free at 1-800-222-8477 or at crimestoppers.ca
