Earthquakes Canada registers 3.8 magnitude event in Maniwaki region

Earthquakes Canada says residents in and around the Maniwaki region may have felt a slight shift under their feet on Friday.

The agency recorded a 3.8 magnitude quake 40km west-northwest of Maniwaki, and about 94 km northeast of Pembroke, at 11:49 a.m. on August 27.

The earthquake's depth was 10 km.

There have been no reports of damage, and Earthquakes Canada says none would be expected.
